Yard Plotted to scale, promise

Late February through March 17

St. Patrick's Day

Small, green and cheerful in the gap between February and spring. A porch-scale holiday rather than a whole-yard one.

what makes this one different

Before you buy anything

This one belongs on the porch and the door, not spread across the lawn. Keep it to a handful of pieces and lean on one strong green. It also sits right at the edge of mud season, so anything with a stake is going into ground that is either frozen solid or soup.

The layout system does not care which holiday it is. A focal piece is a focal piece whether it is a snowman or a twelve foot skeleton, so the ten yard shapes on this site are already waiting for it. What is missing is the theme file: the list of pieces and which spot each one can fill.

Christmas came first because it is the biggest. This one is on the list.
