Before you cut anything. Print with page scaling set to 100 percent or "actual size", never "fit to page". Then measure the ruler printed under each shape. If it does not measure what it says it measures, the printer scaled the page and every dimension on it is wrong.
Alert buck, 36 in. tall
Finished size 23" wide by 36" tall. This one prints at 20 percent, because the real thing is bigger than a sheet of paper. Two ways to use it: take it to a copy store and ask for 500 percent enlargement, or copy it square by square onto your stock, where every printed square is 5 in. on the real piece.
The antlers do branch, but every tine on the drawing is a fat rounded finger at least 1-1/4 in. across, and they all run back into one beam within 3-1/2 in. of the skull. Cut them at that thickness. Chasing a realistic taper is what puts antler points on your lawn after the first proper wind.
Grazing doe, 36 in. long
Finished size 36" wide by 24" tall. This one prints at 17 percent, because the real thing is bigger than a sheet of paper. Two ways to use it: take it to a copy store and ask for 600 percent enlargement, or copy it square by square onto your stock, where every printed square is 6 in. on the real piece.
The nose stops about 3-1/2 in. short of the ground on purpose. Take it all the way down and she looks like she is drinking, not grazing. Her drawn length nose to tail is 31 in. inside a 36 in. box, so do not stretch her to fill the chalk.
